Lab: James Pease, Biology My current project uses genomic variation to understand the basis of thermotolerance in tomato. I have built a custom pipeline for analyzing and integrating genetic variants from WGS, RNA-seq, and other sequence data from hundreds of samples.
Lab: Gloria Muday, Biology My PhD project combined genomics and wet lab techniques to uncover transcriptional controls of root response to the plant hormone ethylene in the model plant Arabidopsis.
Lab: Greg Raner, Biochemistry I studied the activity of pharmacokinetically important cytochrome P450s and their inhibition by essential plant extracts.
Lab: Chris Willis, Organic Chemistry I worked on a novel synthesis of blepharocalyxin D.
